Contract Policy – Sky Contract Services

This Contract Policy outlines how mobile phone contracts and SIM-only agreements are managed through Sky Contract Services. By entering into a contract with us, you agree to the terms described below, in conjunction with our Terms & Conditions and Privacy Policy.

Our aim is to ensure that all contract agreements are transparent, fair, and compliant with UK consumer law.

Contract Structure

All contracts provided by Sky Contract Services are either:

  • Fixed-term agreements (typically 12, 18, or 24 months), or

  • Rolling monthly agreements (for SIM-only plans)

Each contract includes a service bundle that may contain data, minutes, texts, and/or a mobile device. The details of your specific plan, including pricing and duration, will be clearly stated in your agreement.

Application Process

When you apply for a mobile contract through our platform:

  • You must be at least 18 years old and a UK resident

  • You may be subject to a credit or identity check

  • You agree to provide accurate and complete information

  • Your contract is not binding until it is approved and confirmed in writing

Sky Contract Services reserves the right to reject any application at our sole discretion.

Contract Activation

Your contract begins when:

  • Your application is approved

  • You receive confirmation from us via email or SMS

  • Your SIM card or handset is dispatched or activated

We will send confirmation of your contract details, billing dates, and usage terms at the time of activation.

Billing and Payments

By entering into a contract, you agree to:

  • Make monthly payments by direct debit or an approved payment method

  • Pay any applicable upfront charges, deposits, or activation fees

  • Remain responsible for payments until the end of your contract term, unless cancelled within the cooling-off period

Failure to make payments may result in late fees, service suspension, and reporting to credit reference agencies.

Contract Duration and Expiry

For fixed-term agreements:

  • Your contract will automatically continue on a rolling monthly basis unless you request cancellation or upgrade after the end of the minimum term

  • You will not be subject to early termination fees once the initial term has passed

For rolling SIM-only contracts:

  • You may cancel at any time by providing a minimum of 30 days’ notice

Cooling-Off Period

Under UK consumer law, you have a 14-day right to cancel your contract from the date of delivery or activation. If you wish to cancel during this time:

  • You must notify us in writing or by phone

  • Any physical items (e.g., handsets) must be returned in unused, resellable condition

  • A refund will be issued once the item is received and checked

This right does not apply to contracts where services have already been used substantially (e.g., excessive call/data usage) within the 14-day period.

Early Termination

If you cancel a fixed-term contract before the end of the agreed period:

  • You may be required to pay an early termination fee

  • Any outstanding device payments or handset balances must be settled

  • Partial refunds are not provided for unused portions of the month

Details of early termination charges will be provided upon request or outlined in your agreement.

Upgrades and Renewals

You may be eligible to upgrade your device or plan after a certain period (usually 12 months) depending on your payment history and credit status. Upgrade eligibility is assessed case-by-case and subject to terms of your existing agreement.

Lost, Stolen, or Faulty Devices

If your device is lost or stolen, please contact us immediately to block usage. Insurance coverage may apply if purchased. For faulty devices, warranty terms from the manufacturer will apply. We can assist in processing returns or repairs where applicable.

Disputed Charges

If you believe there has been an error in billing or contract terms:

  • Contact our support team immediately

  • We will investigate and provide a response within 14 business days

  • Valid disputes will be corrected without penalty

Unpaid disputed balances may still result in restricted service while under review.
